A town in Colorado is debating whether to issue hunting licenses for unmanned drones. What makes it worse is they are also pondering whether to hand out $100 bounties for any downed drones. I have to imagine federal laws will trump this. I also imagine this will one day start a massive countrywide legal battle which will probably be sparked by something simple.. like some guy who loves model planes being massively pissed that some speed taking backwoods creep shot down his $1,500 remote control plane for a laugh (and $100).
On the other hand, I understand. Drones are picking up steam and the fact that they are beginning to be used by police in the USA and for killing people in warfare. Where do we draw the line? The Constitution stipulates certain freedoms, and people with guns are usually on top of that.
