The first exoplanet to be “seen”

Amazing. Glad to be alive for this. Also glad that I have several photos with the star in which this planet orbits. Lately I have just been placing my camera on the driveway and letting it take long exposures of what’s above. The three main stars are in the Summer Triangle (Vega, Denab and a third I can’t remember) with over a thousand other tiny, barely visible specks. One of those specs next to the Dumbell Nebula, which is so small on the picture that it might as well be another speck of a star, hosts this gas giant (a “hot” Jupiter that orbits it’s star ever 2.2 Earth days).
