Results from the NuSTAR telescope launched last June have been released. Specifically, they’ve been studying the supermassive black hole of galaxy NGC 1365. Not getting into specifics, I’ll just share this. It is spinning so fast (meaning it’s consuming a lot at a consistent rate) that it is going 84% as fast as the theory of general relativity allows..
Meaning: if you stood close enough to this black hole, you would have to spin around it once ever 4 minutes just to stand still. Yeah.. wrap your mind around that.
